Turkey's Magnificent Southwest Trip

The Lycian Way Turkey has an enormous wealth of beautiful, partly very extraordinary landscapes. One of these areas is Lycia between Taurus and Aegean Sea on Turkey's Mediterranean coast. Beautiful coasts, wonderful views to the snow-capped peaks of the Taurus, great cultural treasures from antiquity and hospitable people. DIFFICULTY:

Level 2: Easy

These are tours with somewhat longer trekking sections (up to 4 hours), mostly on wide paths and in safe terrain. The physical and psychological stress is relatively low. The physical preparation should be sufficient with 1x weekly training. Tours of this difficulty level are an easy pleasure for body, mind and soul.

Tour Programm

1. Day: Arrival in Dalaman
Individual arrival in Dalaman Transfer by TAF Travel.

Accommodation: Pension in Faralya.

2. Day: From Faralya to Kayaköy & further to Ölüdeniz

After breakfast we drive to Kaya Köy (about 35 min) From there we head towards Keçeciler partly woody but mainly through maquis and also finally over an old one stone-paved road until we reach today's Kayaköy.- Only then does the actual, ancient settlement of Kayaköy. Formerly called Levissi (name in the Lycian League Karmilasos) is the Village like an open air museum and is often called a ghost town. The story of this Greek locality dates back to 3,000 BC. 3. Day: From Ovacık to Faralya

Our hiking trail leads upwards in the Zigzag along the foot of Babadağ (Father Mountain), right under the paragliders and offers one of the most beautiful views of this region. The Babadağ is world famous as the best place for paragliding. Passing some mountain villages, the group reaches a farmhouse where we can stop by. Then we continue to Faralya and reach our today's Pension that fascinates by its location.

4. Day: Faralya to Bel
After breakfast we leave Faralya and take our bus to our today's Starting point Alinca. From here we can see Kabak Bay. We hike via Alinca, Gey to Bel. Our bus awaits us there and takes us to our next one Lodging, to Gelemis. / Patara

5. Day: From Gelemis / Patara to Kalkan

Day 7: Ücagiz - Aperlai - Kekova Peninsula
From the small, beautifully situated fishing village, we hike today to the ruins of aperlai This path leads directly along the sea and ends at the ruins. Day 8: Ücagiz - Demre - Myra - Adrasan

Day 9: To Cape Gelidonia: dream path over the cliffs
After our breakfast, we take the bus to Karaöz. From here you hike today on a of the most beautiful stretches of the Lycian Way to Adrasan.
