Entry status:
For vaccinated: Travel country open without significant restrictions
For the unvaccinated: Travel country open with restrictions
 

Entry requirements:
For those who have been vaccinated: Complete proof of vaccination
For those who have not been vaccinated: a negative corona test is required
 

Return Duties:
For vaccinated people: no quarantine and testing obligation upon return
For those who have not been vaccinated: Compulsory quarantine and testing upon return

Entry

Turkey's air, land and sea borders are open, there are restrictions on entry by land from Iran and ferry traffic with Greece.
 

All air travelers over the age of 12 are required to fill out an electronic form from the Turkish Ministry of Health within 72 hours prior to travel. This does not apply to transit passengers. The control takes place upon entry or at check-in. Thereafter, travelers will be provided with an authorization code (“HES Code”), which must be presented during in-country inspections. The code can also be obtained in Turkey via SMS or using an app.
 

In addition, travelers from Germany aged twelve and over must present one of the following documents when entering the country by air, land or sea:

1. Result of a negative PCR test (not older than 72 hours)

2. Result of an antigen test (not older than 48 hours before arrival)

3. Official proof of full vaccination (at least 14 days before arrival)

4. official documentation of a recovery from a COVID-19 infection (not older than 6 months)
    

This does not apply to the transport sector (aircrew, truck drivers, seafarers) and to transit passengers. When traveling by air, proof must be presented at check-in.
 

When entering Germany from third countries, different regulations may apply.
 

When entering Turkey, random PCR tests can be ordered, after which the onward journey to the destination can take place immediately. If the test result is positive, treatment is carried out according to Turkish guidelines. Temperature measurements are also taken upon entry. If you have an elevated body temperature or other COVID-19 symptoms, additional health checks may be carried out.

For travel from Turkey to Germany, the provisions of the German entry regulations apply. This will be checked at check-in.
