Full itinerary · Cappadocia 7 Night 8 Days

The itinerary below follows the supplied source program, adapted to the TAF Travel format.

Day 1

01

Arrival in Cappadocia

Arrive at Kayseri Airport and transfer to Cappadocia. Overnight in a standard cave hotel or four-star hotel. Meal: not included.

Day 2

02

Pigeon Valley, Uçhisar and Love Valley

Walk in Love Valley, visit Uçhisar’s pigeon houses and ancient cave houses, then walk through Pigeon Valley to Göreme. After lunch in a local village restaurant, see the churches and monasteries of Göreme Open Air Museum.

Day 3

Çavuşin Village, Rose Valley and Red Valley

Visit Çavuşin Cave Village and Saint John the Baptist Church, walk from Rose Valley to Red Valley, have lunch in the valley, then photograph the fairy chimneys at Paşabağı and visit Zelve Open Air Museum.

Day 4

Derinkuyu and Ihlara Canyon

Walk from Ihlara Village to Belisırma in Ihlara Canyon, have lunch in the canyon, visit Selime Monastery, and explore Derinkuyu Underground City.

Day 5

Gomeda, Üzengi, Mustafapaşa and Ürgüp

Transfer to Mustafapaşa Village, walk through Gomeda Valley and its cliff-carved dovecotes, then continue through Üzengi Valley toward Ortahisar Village.

Day 6

06

Sultan Marsh and Kapuzbaşı waterfalls

Depart early for Sultan Marsh Bird Paradise, take a boat to watch the birds, then drive through villages and mountain scenery to Kapuzbaşı waterfalls for a picnic and photographs.

Day 7

07

Horseback riding and Hacı Bektaş Village

Ride on horseback for two hours around Avanos, visit a pottery atelier, enjoy pottery kebab, and continue to Hacı Bektaş Village and its museum complex.

Day 8

08

Departure

After breakfast, transfer to Kayseri Airport.

  • Broken-in hiking boots with a firm, grippy sole
