Planning note

Mountain requirements
- TAF Travel is not currently operating Mount Elbrus tours, and departure dates and reservation prompts remain removed.
- Do not rely on an old visa, border, park-access or insurance plan. Any future reopening would require a fresh review of current travel conditions and official requirements.
- A future ascent would require high-altitude mountaineering preparation, an authorized guide and route-specific technical equipment.
Personal equipment
- Technical mountaineering boots and crampons for the confirmed route
- Ice axe, helmet, harness and glacier equipment as specified by the future guide
- Cold-weather layers, insulated jacket, face protection and spare gloves
- Headlamp, goggles, high-SPF sun protection and personal medication
- High-altitude insurance with rescue and evacuation cover when operations resume
- Passport and any future visa or border documents confirmed at that time
What TAF Travel arranges
- No current Elbrus equipment, permit or reservation package is active.
- Future inclusions would be confirmed only after TAF Travel verifies that the program can operate again.
