Turkey trekking routes
Multi-day walking programs that combine ancient sites, rural villages, forests, canyons and Mediterranean or lake landscapes.
Highest point: Route-dependent
Before you pack
Requirements first. Equipment second.
Use this as a preparation guide for the selected mountain. The season, route, weather and guide’s assessment always determine the final list.
Planning note
Trail conditions and accommodation can change with weather and local operations. The confirmed itinerary takes precedence over a general checklist.
Mountain requirements
- The route, accommodation and any protected-area access are confirmed by itinerary. Follow the local guide’s instructions and stay with the group.
- Prepare for long walking days, uneven paths, exposed sun, occasional rain and limited services between villages.
- Comfortable broken-in boots, a light daypack and reliable hydration are more important than technical climbing equipment on the standard itineraries.
- Travel insurance, passport, personal medication and an emergency contact plan should be ready before departure.
Personal equipment
- Broken-in hiking shoes or boots with good grip
- Light daypack, water bottles and energy snacks
- Sun hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and lip protection
- Light rain shell, warm layer and spare walking socks
- Trekking poles, headlamp and personal medication
- Small first-aid kit, blister care and dry bags
- Passport, insurance details and practical travel clothing
What TAF Travel arranges
