Questions about this tour

The practical answers below cover the route, preparation, changes, and the reservation process.

What happens on the six-day Ararat route?

The program transfers you to Doğubayazıt, climbs to the 3,200-metre base camp and 4,200-metre Camp 2, makes a summit attempt, then descends for an İshak Paşa Palace visit before the airport transfer.

Can a solo traveler request this departure?

Solo travelers may submit a request. A listed departure is confirmed only after four participants are confirmed, and sending the request is not a booking confirmation.

Is the summit guaranteed?

No. Snow, ice, weather, route access, acclimatization, participant health, and the guide’s safety assessment can change the plan or prevent a summit attempt.

What should I prepare?

Prepare for long uphill days, high camps, cold and changing weather. Use the route-specific equipment list on this page and follow the guide’s final check for technical equipment.
