A trail along the Mediterranean

The Lycian Way runs for more than 500 km along Turkey’s southwest coast, linking ancient Lycian cities, shepherd paths, and fishing villages. Our 11-day programme walks a selection of the most beautiful stages, such as Kayaköy to Ölüdeniz and the villages of Faralya and Kirme.

When to go

April–May and October are the best months: warm enough to swim, but cool enough for full days on foot. Midsummer is very hot on the exposed coastal sections.

How hard is it?

Most days cover around 10–15 km with moderate ascent and descent on rocky paths. Good hiking shoes and a reasonable level of fitness are enough; there are no technical sections.
